Equipment

The most recent addition to my arsenal is my Sony α7 II. It is the nicest camera I’ve ever owned and much of my free time is spent experimenting with it. While I strongly believe any camera can take a great photo, it doesn’t hurt having one that can capture every last detail.

Originally a prize from a photo contest held by my orthodontist while I was still in high school, my Nikon Coolpix L105 has traveled the world with me from (accidentally being dropped down) the Great Wall of China to the canals of Venice and served me loyally. Not every picture I took on it turned out but it is the camera that I first discovered a passion for photography.

The 21st century was when photography became an art form of the people, accessible to anyone with a cellphone camera. My iPhone 13X was what really put me in the headspace of a photographer and everything became a subject to capture. This is the camera that I have on me at all times, without fail. While the quality of the image may not be as nice, I think my compositions and vision are what truly matter when it comes to the photos I take on my phone.

I’m from San Diego, California but currently located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, apparent polar opposites. My interests lie in science and art, and at the intersection of where they meet. I seek adventure no matter where but I consider life the greatest of adventure of all. I am a natural story teller and photography is just one way which I highlight the moments of this great expedition I am on, through my unique perspective and experiences. The photos I take are the proof that I was here.
